Nicky Kelso
I have worked with children in various roles for many years, as a speech and language therapist, mother of 4 boys, classroom assistant, and crèche worker. I now aim to provide emotional support to individuals through the medium of play and the creative arts.
My involvement with children and young people struggling with a language, communication or learning difficulty gives me a particular interest in addressing the significant emotional issues which are often associated with such problems.
I offer support to children and young people who experience difficulties including low self-esteem, anxiety, bereavement and family breakdown, depression, attachment problems, bullying, or making and keeping friendships. Much of my work is with children and young people who have behaviour issues such as anger and aggression, as well as those related to A.D.H.D. or Autism Spectrum Disorders.
I take referrals from schools and social services, doctors, health professionals and parents. I am willing to work at various locations as appropriate.
I offer play therapy for children and young people in Cambridge City, East Cambridgeshire and the Newmarket area.
